Ariana Bohling hand crafts leather sandals out of her Brooklyn New York studio. What a lovely marriage between timeless luxury technique and modern charm. Her shoes are available online at Stand up Comedy.

According to their new redesigned Website, Vancouver based Mono is a succession of capsule series and projects which attempts to explore the space between art, craft, design and fashion. Instead of seasons, Mono reaches beyond a cycle of endless products but stands in opposition to the complacency within the fashion ideal.

I love this idea of trading in the conventional ‘season’ for something more ongoing, and Mono does a great job of this. Each one of their pieces can be worn throughout the year and they’re particularly great to layer with. Aside from a great label, Mono now now has a great shiny new Website complete with easy to navigate e-commerce. And from now until Halloween, take 20% off your order with discount code “monoshop01″.

Mono can also be purchased online at Light Vision, Assembly and Stand up Comedy.

Ahhh spring–we love you! Stand up Comedy and Trés Bien are stocking up. Here are some favorites (check out the new label Mono–loving it!). Trés Bien re-designed their Web site, like it wasn’t great already, but now it’s really something to reckon with. Warning: once you click you may not ever escape.

Stand up Comedy has teamed up with The Werkplaats Typographie(WT), a school founded in 1998 by Wigger Blerma and Karel Martens. Stand up Comedy designed the shapes of these totes, and WT designed the graphics, with Madeline Williams as seamstress. Production is very limited and each bag is numbered and stamped with the designer’s name.
