Ever since spotting Clare Vivier’s envelope wallet on Of a Kind a while back, and missing my chance to score one before they sold out, I’ve been obsessed with envelope-style anything. I’m currently craving this A’N'D Envelope Clutch, just in at Pour Porter. It’s available in a few colors, but white is my fave, and the most envelope-like.

I can’t believe it’s been nearly two years since I moved out of SF. I love Los Angeles, all the great shopping, thrifting, etc, but I miss my old home. Especially when I discover new shopping spots like Magpie & Rye, a curated selection of precious hard-to-find accessories. Magpie and Rye is part of the Prairie Collective, a trio of small businesses sharing a space in San Francisco’s Western Addition. Everything carried is made by hand somewhere in North America. They have an adorable online shop as well. It’s simple, easy to shop and full of tons of goodies for the home and body.
Website: shop.magpieandrye.com. Online shopping? Yes!

Dear Anica,
I miss living down the street from you and visiting daily. xoTina
I’m not one to gravitate towards sparkly gem stones, but I can’t fight the pull towards these enchanting Andy Lifshutz rings. Breathtaking! Drool over the entire collection and read more about the man behind the jewelry here….
Rodarte for Opening Ceremony hit stores today. Pretty exciting. Well, sort of exciting, if you have tons of extra money in your clothing and accessory budget this month because the prices average about $400 a piece. The most ridiculous piece being a pair of $335 pajama pants. I’m not hating, I fancy the collection. Here’s my aspirational shopping list:
Button Off Leggings $290 wouldn’t these be a fun DIY project?!
Roy Orbison Shades $220. I’m torn between these, and these.
Greetings! It’s been a while. I hope your holidays were amazing and 2011 is great so far. Aside from being snowed in on the east coast for four days and not being able to make it back home as expected, my holidays were ideal. And 2011 and I have been having fun so far. To the point: I stumbled upon Of a Kind recently through a Clare Vivier Tweet. And while they’re classified in our shopping guide as an online boutique, they’re more than that. According to the site:
Each week, we select one designer whose work we love to feature on the site. We share a series of stories about that designer—inspirations, personal life, taste, training, you name it—along with a limited-edition piece designed exclusively for Of a Kind.
Editions range in size from five to 50 pieces, and each piece comes with a certificate of authenticity that’s signed and numbered by the designer. You can display it proudly wherever you wish.
It’s refreshing to see a site dedicated not only to indie designers, but sharing their story and adding a personal touch. Because really, that’s why most of us shop indie in the first place. To support small designers and find something unique.
Past collaborations include: Lizzie Fortunato, Dusen Dusen, Veda, Collina Strada and others. Veda is up now (vest featured here) + Clare Vivier is next!
Carpenter turned jeweler Ninh Wyscon designs the most stunning pieces. These necklaces are incredible.
