I’ll be the first to admit that lately, Sale Bite aside, I get a D- in blogging. If you count the last year and 1/2 as ‘lately.’ I do. Blah blah blah, I haven’t felt inspired blah blah blah, baby on the way, blah blah blah. What I’m trying to say is most recently I’ve been covered by a tidal wave of inspiration, thanks to discovering some great new lines like Iman Toloui, a collection of beautiful, understated handbags, available this fall at one of the BEST STORES EVER Maryam Nassir Zadeh. Cali-based designer Saman Iman Toloui created her collection from a love of beautiful things and is inspired by idiosyncrasies, craftsmanship and a quest or the perfect proportions. I’m quickly turned off by large collections, so the fact that Toloui’s debut F/W 2011 ensemble features three designs total, numbered bag 01, bag 02, bag 03 makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. Ugh, handbag fairy, can I have all three? Mamas been extra good this season.

My friends Rati — of the now closed Anica Boutique — sniff sniff — and Sarah were up for a visit this past weekend. We made the shopping rounds, and I’m not sure if these A Détacher Wedges were in store at Creatures of Comfort and I just missed them, but I’m obsessed. They’re having a VPL party this Friday May 13 in L.A. and everything in the store is 30% off for three hours only. I’m tempted to break my spending freeze and head over in search of them. The details:
I heart online boutique Beklina. Especially these affordable and fun Pebble & Crow necklaces. Which makes me wonder. Who is this Pebble & Crow? Couldn’t find much info online other than their pieces at Beklina. Ideas anyone?
Ever since spotting Clare Vivier’s envelope wallet on Of a Kind a while back, and missing my chance to score one before they sold out, I’ve been obsessed with envelope-style anything. I’m currently craving this A’N'D Envelope Clutch, just in at Pour Porter. It’s available in a few colors, but white is my fave, and the most envelope-like.
I can’t believe it’s been nearly two years since I moved out of SF. I love Los Angeles, all the great shopping, thrifting, etc, but I miss my old home. Especially when I discover new shopping spots like Magpie & Rye, a curated selection of precious hard-to-find accessories. Magpie and Rye is part of the Prairie Collective, a trio of small businesses sharing a space in San Francisco’s Western Addition. Everything carried is made by hand somewhere in North America. They have an adorable online shop as well. It’s simple, easy to shop and full of tons of goodies for the home and body.
Website: shop.magpieandrye.com. Online shopping? Yes!

Dear Anica,
I miss living down the street from you and visiting daily. xoTina
I’m not one to gravitate towards sparkly gem stones, but I can’t fight the pull towards these enchanting Andy Lifshutz rings. Breathtaking! Drool over the entire collection and read more about the man behind the jewelry here….
Rodarte for Opening Ceremony hit stores today. Pretty exciting. Well, sort of exciting, if you have tons of extra money in your clothing and accessory budget this month because the prices average about $400 a piece. The most ridiculous piece being a pair of $335 pajama pants. I’m not hating, I fancy the collection. Here’s my aspirational shopping list:
Button Off Leggings $290 wouldn’t these be a fun DIY project?!
Roy Orbison Shades $220. I’m torn between these, and these.
