Pardon me if I’m a little late on this one, but New York based boutique Otte has a house label. They’re previewing their Fall 2011 look book today for FNO, and offering a chance to win a piece from the Look book. Wish me luck. I love it when stores we love add designer to their resume. The look book isn’t too lengthy, but includes a collection of silk basics in beautiful fall colors, some accessories like a hat and beaded necklace, and a more stand-out pair of zebra pants — my favorite. I’m curious about prices. View the entire collection and enter to win online at www.otteny.com.

Tess Giberson’s Fall 2011 collection is full of must-have fall staples. The red dress top right is gorgeous. Shop the collection online at Una. They also stock a couple limited-edition petrova giberson t-shirts and sweatshirts. See…

Totally random, but I go through phases where I’m obsessed with one particular type of clothing, and only that. Makes it difficult to assemble a well-rounded wardrobe, but my shopping pattern none-the-less. My newest obsession: Tops. I haven’t been able to wear a normal sized top in months, but I’ve dreamt of a few and just discovered (via Of a Kind) these hand-panted silk beauties by Rachel Rose, one of a kind and available online at Etsy. And they’re only $88!
Total budget buster, but this DREAMY multi-color bag by Slow and Steady Wins the Race is available for pre-order.
…Oh, and it’s $4,000.
I’ve been posting about Refinery 29′s new Groupon-like site Reserve for a while now over on my sale/coupon site Sale Bite. And while those of you who read both sites may be sick of my pathetic over-the-top admiration for the damn site…here I go again. It was only a matter of time before one of the big guns did this whole Groupon for fashion the right way. But that said, Refinery29 was the perfect site for the job. 1. They know fashion 2. They know indie fashion 3. They have the resources (money, staff, notoriety, traffic, etc), but that aside, I’m still impressed at the site everyday. Their deals are always amazing, no less than 50% off vouchers to some of the best stores online and off. Most of their offers are available for online shoppers (super plus), the site is pretty to look at, easy to use, and always improving. I really can’t believe their kick-ass offers. It’s like they secretly picked my brain and came up with all the brands/stores in our shopping guide I’d love to score at 50% off, but they didn’t! Hmmm…
Some past offers include 50% off:
Rag and Bone
Dear Fieldbinder
Folica
Loeffler Randall
CatBird NYC
The idea is simple. Every week — but now it seems more often — they offer 50% off vouchers to sites in NY, SF or online. You buy the voucher — usually available in multiple denominations like buy $75 get $150, and buy $150 and get $300. You only have a few months to use the voucher, which they’ll email you after you buy it, and each sale is up for about 6 – 7 days. Some exclusions apply, depending on the offer, but really not many at all. They also offer a hefty refer a friend credit, which I’ve had the privilege to enjoy. Heads Up: the links here include my referral link. Since the site is membership only, when you refer-a-friend, and they buy a voucher, you get a $25 credit. None of that free shipping bull. This is the real deal. And, the credits have a pretty long life span and don’t expire for a while.
CURRENT RESERVES INCLUDE THEIR VERY FIRST DOUBLE DUTY EDITOR-CURATED EVENT:
50% OFF FLEABAG HANDBAGS + 50% OFF COCLICO ONLINE
ALSO IN PLAY: 50% OFF GIMME SHOES + 50% CATBIRDNYC
It’s overcast and nasty today in L.A. I’m bummed out. Does the weather do that to you? I’m too damn sensitive. But handbag designer Clare Vivier’s neon orange nails seem to brighten things up! I wish she listed the brand + color. P.S.: Clare recently opened up a shop in Silver Lake with jewelry designer Kathryn Bently called Vivier + Bentley.
