Created in 2008 by Australian artists/designers Kain Picken and Fiona Lau in Berlin, ffiXXed is a collaborative art and design project with a mobile studio, currently based in Shenzhen, China.
Both Kain and Fiona use high quality fibers, and the traditional garment requirements of comfort and minimal, clean lines as a starting point, ultimately creating new and unexpected forms of every-day basics.
Autumn/Winter 2010 , ‘We are Building a Civilised Space Here’, further perpetuates this overall concept. They mold ordinary office attire into a powerful, not-so-ordinary collection. Highlights include a super chunky sweater vest and skirt combo, as well as a unisex checkered poncho/scarf.
