Fleabag’s Newest Eco-Friendly Tote: The Salt

by Tina on July 17, 2010

Fleabags (props on the name) was started in 2009 by two friends and self-proclaimed flea market junkees Shira Entis and Alex Ball. Frustrated by the inconvenience and environmental hazard of accumulating plastic bags while marketing, Shira and Alex thought to create a market-friendly bag that was both fashionable, functional and eco-minded.

The backbone of the collection was their premiere “Original Flea Bag”, which they’ll keep as a constant, but introduce new styles seasonally, like the newest member the “Salt”. This shorter design, with a top handle, vintage buckle detailing, and pops of color is the perfect summer bag. I’d bring it to the market — and then some! The salt retails at $480 — steep price I know — but look at it! Well worth the investment. It can purchased online here…and make sure to read all about how each bag is made.
