If you read this Website enough you know we have a penchant for recycled leather handbags and feel that if done correctly they can provide both an eco and vegetarian friendly alternative to newly created leather handbags. We were thrilled to discover reMade USA, San Francisco based designer Shannon South’s collection of beautiful handbags up-cycled from old jackets and vintage leather finds.
Shannon began designing accessories over 10 years ago after a three month stay in London, studying at The Royal College of Art. Her hope through reMade USA is to create awareness through beautiful products, while leaving the tiniest footprint possible.
Each bag is handmade, a limited edition of one and bears its own serial number that reflects its uniqueness. But patience is key, since each bag is made to order, allow three weeks for arrival.
reMade USA is available for purchase online on the designers Website, and will soon be available at Barneys COOP.

Wow..nice bags and they look so “comfortable” like a pair of pre-washed jeans. I bet materials are unlimited for this.
